For over 25 years, I've worked at the intersection of emerging technology standards and real-world commercial deployment. As Head of Technology at the Connectivity Standards Alliance, I spent seven years helping build Matter — shepherding it from proposal to a global interoperability standard now adopted across thousands of certified devices and backed by Apple, Google, Amazon, and Samsung.
That experience revealed something most companies discover too late: technical excellence isn't enough.
